12/11/2020· That is where the IR sensor is located. I also changed an Xbox Series X setting that might be a part of this, but I’m unsure. I wonder if it was necessary to go to your Xbox settings -> General -> Power Mode and Startup -> TV and Power Options and check the box for HDMI-CEC, and the only one I selected was ‘Other devices can turn console off.’ I believe this/these settings are more for ...
22/10/2014· No, the xbox kinect will not replace a home IR repeater system. It is not a repeater system. It can only take voice commands or controller commands and send them to the devices. You will want to place the eye directly over the devices IR sensor for maximum reliability. You might want to check out the harmony hub, or harmony ultimate. These use RF and Wifi to control your devices. You will not ...

15/02/2018· The problem is that when I try to use a remote to control the TV Xbox, it affects the gaming Xbox. I don't need any IR with the gaming Xbox at all, just the controller which uses their custom wireless signals. I had assumed I could just put a post it over top of the sensor and be done with it, but that didn't work at all. I read that nail polish can block the signal, so I cut up an old credit ...
